Review // My Super Cookies

So, I’m officially back to blogging! I took off the better part of a year to try to deal with pregnancy sickness/newborn fun, and now I’m trying to get back into this fun stuff. I’m kicking things off with a review of a great line of kids’ snacks and a giveaway on my instagram account . Here goes!

MySuperFoods products are organic, non-GMO, kosher, nut-free, dairy free, vegan, and free of artificial preservatives, colors, and trans fats. If you haven’t noticed, this is fairly hard to come by in snacks marketed to children.

A kid’s first impression: My son thinks they’re cool. SCORE! If he’s excited about trying something new that isn’t jam packed with sugar/preservatives, then I’m excited too. This is especially great because right now all he can talk about is superheroes, and these particular super heroes are talking about eating healthy! Love, love, love. We both tried the granola bites and cookies. Everybody in the family is a fan! I have to confess – they make a great snack for adults, too!

Because I’m usually in a hurry to pack up diapers, extra packs, cups, and snacks, these little packages are great for keeping in the car or in the diaper bag. I’m a fan. You can find all sorts of info (like the social causes they support) on their website, and buy your own yummy snacks at Kroger, Whole Foods, Amazon, Costco, and Target, among others.

Relay Foods: Review & Discount Code – PLUS a Lynchburg GIVEAWAY

I’m all about saving three things: time, money, and hassle. I’m also about shopping three things: local, sustainable, and organic. Unfortunately, these things don’t often mix. When I heard about Relay Foods, I was so excited to try it out, because Relay is a local and sustainable ONLINE grocery store that partners with producers and farmers to deliver groceries all around Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Let me start by explaining how it works: You shop online, your order is filled, then depending on your area is delivered either to your home or to a set pick up location. They’ll remind you via email the day your food is ready!

Before we go any further, you can try Relay out NOW and get an awesome deal: Get $30 off your first order of $50. For each new customer who uses my referral, I’ll also donate my $30 in shopping credit to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Find out about how they serve our area here.

Go to www.relayfoods.com/friend/zr2kfd to take advantage of this deal - You must use my referral code to get the discount and donation! Please consider sharing this information with others in Virginia, Maryland, and DC, because the more new customers who take advantage of this deal, the more food will be given to the Food Bank!

So here’s my review: First of all, it was AMAZING to pick out my groceries from the comfort of my couch, in my pajamas! What could be better than that? No joke, I felt like a princess. It was much, much easier than walking around a giant store, comparing prices, just to realize that I forgot to get one crucial thing on my list the second I’m home.

Here are some of the cool features I love:

♦ Shop by dietary needs: Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Paleo, Vegan, Non-GMO.

♦ Set individual refill options to automatically order based on the frequency you need it (ex: Milk might be refilled weekly, eggs biweekly, and rice monthly). Hello, TIME SAVER!

♦ Add trusted friends or family members to your account who can edit your order – so if I place an order, I don’t have to text or call my husband at work to find out whether or not he ran out of granola bars. He can add anything he needs.  Nice.

The delivery was easy and convenient, and I didn’t even have to take the baby out of his carseat. The entire exchange took less than 2 minutes. I was one happy customer! But what if I have a question or concern? I always like to find out the level of customer service you get from online stores. The absolute worst is trying to track down a phone number, waiting on hold, getting transferred three times, completely misunderstood, then no real resolution to your issue. I contacted customer service through their handy “Chat Live” option, and immediately got in touch with a real person who was friendly and knowledgable! So here’s an easy way for you to give it a try, just make sure you use the discount code!

New Customers: Get $30 off your first order PLUS I’ll donate my $30  referral credit to the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank!! uUse my unique referral code here: www.relayfoods.com/friend/zr2kfd

Gift Card Give Away

Hi friends!

I’m super excited to say that my blog has been officially official for about 2 weeks now! To celebrate all of the love and support you all have been showing me, I want to do a little giveaway for you! No, I’m not giving away a bowl of lemons. Hopefully there will be more to come, but to kick things off, here’s one for a $25 gift card to one of my favorite grocery stores, Whole Foods. Just thinking about the place makes me happy.

Now, first things first: The rules. This is my personal giveaway on this blog and in no way is related to instagram, facebook, twitter, etc. So basically any way you connect with me will be one entry into the giveaway, and you can earn a BUNCH of entries. Pretty easy, right? Just for clarity, I’ll be a little more specific.

Here are ways to earn:

1. Subscribe to this blog
2. Follow me on Instagram @cookathomemom
3. Follow me on Twitter @cookathomemom
5. Share any of my photos on Instagram or twitter with #cahmgiveaway
6. Comment on any of my blog posts

A couple side notes:
Make sure there’s a valid way for me to get in touch with you.
If I let you know you win, get back at me within a day or it’ll go to somebody else.
If there isn’t a Whole Foods local to you and you end up winning, just let me know and we will work it out

The giveaway will run through March 15th – Winner will be announced around the 16th.

This is just a small thank you to all of you. Thanks again, and good luck!
